FFL TRANSFERS

We are proud of to offer FFL transfers to help facilitate sales between private individuals and other dealers. Please contact us if you have questions about the process or requirements.

HOW TO DO AN FFL TRANSFER

PURCHASE YOUR FIREARM

Picking out the perfect gun is the hard part. We promise to make the transfer much easier.

PROVIDE THE SELLER WITH OUR INFORMATION

Give the seller our email address so we can coordinate the transfer:

We'll give you a call when your firearm is delivered and processed in our system.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • A $30 transfer fee applies to all FFL transfers.

  • It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the seller/shipper sends us an FFL and bill of sale with the purchaser's name and phone number. We are required by law to obtain this information before receiving firearms transfers. If this information is not included on the transfer, a $20 convenience fee will be charged to cover time spent contacting the seller.

  • The person listed on the packing slip or transfer invoice is the only person authorized to pick up the firearm. Minors are prohibited from doing FFL transfers. A valid photo ID with current physical address is required at pick-up.

  • Pick-ups are by appointment only. We will call you when your transfer has arrived and been processed to schedule an convenient time for you to pick it up.

  • Transfers are held in inventory for 10 days. Transfers will incur a $10 storage fee per day if not picked up, unless prior arrangements are made.

  • All transferees are subject to an NICS background check as required by law. Any customer whose background check is denied will not be permitted to pick up the firearm and is responsible for coordinating and paying for shipping back to the seller.

  • Land+Groove reserves the right to cancel or refuse any FFL transfer if we feel illegal activity is being conducted. We are required to report suspected illegal activity to the ATF and/or local law enforcement agencies. Purchasing a firearm for someone else is illegal. Learn more about "Straw Purchases" here.
